Lost Without You Cover Reveal

I’m so excited to reveal the cover for Lost Without You

Lost Without You Cover Reveal Excerpt

Shay
After waiting ten minutes in Victor’s kitchen, and another ten minutes in my car as it rumbled loudly in the driveway, the princess is finally seated in the black leather bucket seat beside me, arms crossed and looking none too happy about her predicament.
“You going to sit there and pout like a spoiled brat not getting her own way, or you actually going to talk to me?” I look over at the raven haired woman in my passenger seat who still has my groin tight and my breath lost.
She looks my way and scowls. “I don’t even know your name! And anyway, why would I want to talk to one of my father’s underlings who probably doesn’t know his head from his ass? Hell, even your hot ass muscle car is probably paid for with dirty fucking money.” She smirks, and I see it—that spark. The fire that I saw burning in her eyes this morning when we met.

I stop at an intersection and wait for the traffic lights to change. “Seems there are a few things we need to clear up, cupcake. My name is Shay, and this hot ass muscle car is mine and mine alone. No dirty fucking money involved. And I can assure you right now, I definitely know my head from my ass. You know what else?” I lean in towards her ear. “I also know where your ass and head are, and right now one is stuck so far up the other, it’s a wonder you don’t need breath mints.”

First Big Lost Without You Excerpt – Release Date 30th January 2013

I have a confession, I’ve always had a soft spot for Shay McCarron. And if you’ve read Lost For You you’ll know why. But while writing Lost Without You, Shay’s companion novella to the Lost series, I fell head over heels in love with the cocky bastard. He’s sweet, he’s kind, but hell, that boy knows he’s good and knows a good woman when he meets her. And then there is Brenna, sassy, independent, firey Brenna.

I can’t wait to share this story with you.

Watch out for the cover reveal January 17th.

Read more about the book here – Lost Without You on Goodreads

Make sure you read to the end of this post for a special surprise.

Now for the good stuff:

Shay

I feel my hip vibrate. Grabbing my phone, I see Brax’s name flash up. I push it into the hands free kit and answer.

“Brax. I’ve got company.” Not knowing what Brax might need to tell me, I feel the need to make sure he doesn’t just blurt out something confidential that my sassy passenger won’t want to hear.

“Hi, Brenna.”

“Hey, Brax. Long time no see,” she replies, sounding cheerful. What the fuck?

“You two know each other?” I ask.

“Dude, of course I do. I’m the person usually Brenna contacts when she has to get hold of Victor.”

“Huh.” I look at Brenna who just smiles sweetly at me. “And this news to me because…”

“Because, dumbass, I deal with Brax. Not daddy’s latest numbskull lieutenant.” She rolls her eyes at me. “Brax I like. Brax doesn’t storm into a woman’s bedroom when she’s asleep-”

“And naked. Let’s not forget that highlight. That image is forever burned in my brain. Definitely one that will keep me warm at night.” I can’t help grinning at her as she scowls at me.

“What the fuck, Shay?” Brax says over the loud speaker, sounding a mixture of confused and pissed off.

She cracks up laughing. “Yes, Brax. The idiot woke me up by standing at the end of my bed and bellowing.”

“Bellowing, Brenna? Really?” I ask, amused by her mischievous tone.

“Yes, dickhead. Bellowed.”

“I have a name you know.”

“Really? Is it Fuckstick?”

I chuckle. “Nope, try again.”

“Asshat?”

“Close…but no.”

A lot can happen in 12 months….

Exactly 12 months ago I had a scene in my head that I HAD to write down. I was listening to Kiss Me by Ed Sheeran and was struck with an image of piercing blue eyes haunting someone after they’d left suddenly and without warning. I put myself in the woman’s shoes, imagining what it would feel like to have the love of your life disappear in the middle of the night without saying goodbye, without anything being wrong.

And so, the prologue for Lost in Distraction was written. I showed an author that I had been fan-girling over (literally), I said “I wrote something tonight and I’m kind of freaking out. But these characters won’t stop invading my mind.” She replied “Show me!” and with her urging, I kept writing.

Twenty days later, the first draft of Lost in Distraction was written and I’d typed “The End”.

Why am I telling you this? 12 months ago I could never have imagined that I would’ve written four books, published 280,000 words, made a lot of awesome friends, found a few new best friends on the opposite side of the world, and become an Amazon Bestselling author.

As for the next year? My main aim is to continue improving my writing. With every new release, I’m happiest not just when a reader tells me they loved my book, but even more so when I’m told that my writing is getting better and better.

So to celebrate, all of my books are now on sale on Amazon and B&N for $0.99c for one day only starting now.

Thank you for taking a chance, sticking by me, laughing, swooning, smiling, frowning, getting pissed off (both at and with me!), and crying with me.

Special Christmas Post – Mac and Daniel at Christmas

Blissful Christmas by BJ Harvey

“Wake up, gorgeous,” I hear a husky voice whisper from the warm hard body currently cocooning mine.
I shake my head ever so slightly which simply earns a thrust of morning wood against my ass and a deep chuckle that speaks to my loins.

“Mac, it’s Christmas. You need to wake up so I can give you my present.” I feel the bed shift as I assume he sits up behind me against the deep oak headboard of our king sized bed.

“I’d rather have the present that was offered to me a minute ago as long as I can just lie here. We can role play. Sleepy, pregnant girlfriend with a horny, rabid superhero swooping in to save the day. Or make my day, if you’re good enough that is.” I giggle as I feel Daniel’s arms wrap around my waist and rub my belly, waking up the spawn inside.

“Shh, no talking. You’ll wake them up, and it’s way too soon to be worrying about the kids hearing us.” He nips my earlobe before sucking it into his mouth. Damn, that man knows the right buttons to push.

The hand on my belly moves upwards to my now larger than life boobs; definitely one of Daniel’s favorite  pregnancy side effects. Knowing that I’ll soon be unable to think straight, I reach my arm behind me and find his weapon of mass impregnation—hey, the name stuck, alright? Blame Kate!—straining towards me. Enveloping him in my hand, I slowly stroke up and down, adding a signature twist at the end to keep him on his toes.

His hand moves quickly from my aching breasts, and under my silk, mistletoe panties, finding me wet and raring to go; another positive side effect of this procreation business.

“Mac,” he growls. “Don’t start something you’re not gonna finish.”

“Wasn’t planning on it.”

He pulls his hand away leaving me to whimper at the loss. “Good because I think it’s time for you to sit up.”

“On your cock?” I add, rolling over to face him.

“On your knees, gorgeous. It’s my turn to give, and if I’m not mistaken, I have some mistletoe to kiss.”

Vote for Shay! and a Lost Without You teaser

I’m so honored that Shay from the Lost series has been nominated for Best Supporting Male Character in the REaD Carpet Awards being held by Love Between The Sheets and Mary Elizabeth’s Crazy Book Obsession. I’d love it if you could all vote for him.

http://www.readlovelust.com/2013/12/read-carpet-awards-giveway.html

Shay’s novella, Lost Without You, is due for release in February 2014. The gorgeous cover will be revealed in January.

Now for a little teaser from Lost Without You

It’s the guilt and the loss that still tears me apart, like it was just yesterday. I have to live the rest of my life with the knowledge that I had everything good in the world cocooned in my arms, only to have it snatched away in the blink of an eye.

Once you’ve had something so pure, so good, so right; nothing and no one can ever compare.
